EVERYTHING ELSE
When you look at the people that make up MCP, both our teams and our guests, there’s a shared connection to and passion for skiing, but that’s not all: we mountain bike, we fish and float on rivers, we run, we golf and - above all else - we recreate in these mountains we love. Keep reading to learn more about the businesses we operate year-round and when we're not skiing.

Sipapu Ski & Summer Resort
Sipapu has been known for its simple yet fun, year-round offerings for over 70 years. Since 2000, MCP has fostered Sipapu's distinctly laid-back summer vibe, where families and friends enjoy the ample fishing opportunities at the private pond and on the shores of the Rio Pueblo (all located within steps of the slopeside accommodations) and visitors can take in the views at their choice of the Riverside Cafe, Sipapu's alpine meadows or even the world-class disc golf course, named one of the most scenic courses in the U.S.
Durango, CO
Purgatory Resort
With the unmistakably stunning San Juan Mountains as its backdrop, Purgatory transforms in the summer and fall months to offer guests unforgettable adventures, all located a short drive from Durango. MCP’s first order of business in 2015 was to return the resort to its original name, much to the delight of locals and guests alike. Since then, the resort has added the new headlining attraction, the Inferno Mountain Coaster, while expanding the resort's podium-quality bike park trails. As always, the alpine slide and base area activities remain a family favorite, and the bike park (home to the first internationally sanctioned World Mountain Bike Championships) connects to the over 400 miles of backcountry single track that put Durango on the map in the mountain bike hemisphere.

Arizona Snowbowl
Year-round resort Arizona Snowbowl is home to the state’s only gondola, located minutes from downtown Flagstaff and two hours north of Phoenix. Since its involvement in 2016, MCP began expanding the resort's lift network - much to the delight of the guests who return year after year for the signature scenic chairlift ride experience, which brings visitors to the top of Arizona while offering panoramic views all the way to the Grand Canyon. In 2020 Snowbowl initiated the largest lift construction project in the nation, and the Arizona Gondola began transporting both skiers and sightseers that same year. During this time, Snowbowl has also expanded its year-round offerings by opening a new restaurant, adding a pedestrian overpass, remodeling its lodging and introducing new family activities and events.

Bison Golf Club
Golf legends have had their hand in both the design and build of the Bison Golf Club. Golf course architect Jack Snyder originally designed the course, and then PGA Tour star Billy Mayfair redesigned it in 2006. Open seasonally from spring to fall, the 18-hole golf course includes a pro shop, driving range and brand-new restaurant, the Bison Bar & Grill. In March 2023, Bison Golf Club and its sister course, Birdie Ranch, became the first golf courses added to the MCP collective and upgrades the distinctly alpine clubhouse and course are already underway.
